After Anthony Weiner’s latest alleged sexting scandal hit the public August 28, his marriage came crumbling down shortly after when his wife Huma Abedin announced, August 29, she would was leaving him. But, what happens next? HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY spoke to a legal expert about the scandal and learned if spousal support will play a major factor in their separation!

Anthony Weiner, 51, has gotten himself into a mess once again. Now that his apparent racy exchanges with women have come to light from the New York Post, the two will be separating and HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY learned what could happen in terms of spousal support. Anthony resigned from congress in 2011 when the first of his multiple sex scandals started. Since then, work has seemingly been few and far between. We spoke to legal expert, Jacqueline Newman, Managing Partner of Berkman Bottger Newman & Schein, LLP, who told us, “It is possible that she [Huma Abedin, 40] may have some support obligation for him [Anthony], but is unlikely.” Huma serves as a top aide to Hillary Clinton‘s, 68, campaign for Presidency.

Adds Jacqueline Newman, a New-York based lawyer who deals with high net worth and high-profile clients, “I would be somewhat surprised if there wasn’t some kind of prenuptial agreement. I would think that the financial aspects of the divorce are probably not going to be as difficult.”

“He has the ability to earn some income and I can imagine, (but do not know) that there are assets to be divided,” our expert says. “His fall from grace was self inflicted and I would hope that a Court would consider that.” This marks the third sex scandal for Anthony, since his marriage to Huma in 2010. It seems as though this could have been the final straw for her since her recent statement revealed she will be leaving him.

Celebrity New York Divorce Attorney Robert Wallack tells HollywoodLife.com, Anthony may be the one who has to shell out support payments. “Once custody is determined, then the court will calculate child support. If Uma is deemed the primary custodial parent, then Anthony will have to pay her child support. In this case, it doesn’t matter which parent earns more money.”

The photo that emerged this time to shed light on his most recent reported sexting is quite disturbing. It pictured the former congressman in his bed wearing nothing but white boxer briefs. He was apparently having a sexting conversation with a 40-year-old brunette. But, what really set this alleged scandal apart from the his rest, was that his five-year-old son seemingly appeared in the photo laying right beside him.

Anthony has since been laying low and he’s even deleted his Twitter account hours after the scandal news was splashed on the cover of the New York Post.
